Good hostels in the Old Town are rare, which is why Old Prague is such a prized catch. Set in a quiet part of Old Town, it has spotless, large and colourful rooms and dorms with clean shared bathrooms. A few 4 and 5 bed dorms have private bathrooms. U Medvídků has a mini brewery where they make, in their words, ‘the strongest beer in the world’. But that’s not the only reason to stay there. Ritchie´s is noisy but it’s cheap and has a handy location: minutes away from Old Town Square, Charles Bridge and the Staromestska metro. The rooms are basic and come with private or shared bathrooms. Some private bathrooms are outside the room, so ask for an ensuite bathroom. The hostel section has clean mixed dorms with 3 to 12 bed. A fully equipped kitchen is available for guest use. Internet is 1.50 Euros for 30 minutes, breakfast is 3.25 Euros. Overall, a good option if you’re young and on a tight budget.

Don’t get fooled by the drab building. Dahlia Inn, run by the friendly and helpful, Mark, offers one of the best deals in Prague.
